Selen Ermanav has a featured photograph on National Geographics Website
This came as a surprise in 2011 when I got recognized for submitting an image of Reanna preparing for her wedding day. I took many shots, some with my camera, and some with my iPhone for Hipstamatic. I finally decided to submit this image, taken with my iPhone, for a contest on Hipstamatic hosted by National Geographic. I felt it explained a lot of what brides go through on their wedding day. With all the excitement, hollering of directions coming from people, and the feeling of being overwhelmed were all expressions I felt were spoken through this image. I submitted it thinking that it was just a unique moment I had captured of Reanna for the "Life in a day" contest, not thinking it would be chosen. "Life in a day" was a movie produced by National Geographic that captured a 24 hour time frame into peoples lives around the world. The image I took of Reanna and nineteen other photographs were chosen out of 18,000+ submissions and featured at the movie premier nation wide. Take a look at the selection (link below).
